Basic Butter-Cream Frosting

Ingredients
1/2 cup(113g) butter/baking margarine 
450g icing sugar
15ml milk
5ml vanilla essence

Method
1. Beat the butter until it is light and fluffy
2. Gradually add icing sugar and milk one at a time. 
3. Add vanilla and beat very well

This makes enough for a sandwich cake. I usually double it up and freeze what I don't use. It will keep for about 3 months in an air-tight container.
