Antique Rose Wedding Cake
So my course came to and end this afternoon. My cake was handed in and marked. Now I just have to wait for the results.

Vintage Victorian Cake
I have been struggling to find a really good red velvet cake. So I found this recipe this morning. It is so easy and the results are fantastic.http://www.bakerella.com/red-velvet-cake/
Anyway, I had some left over grey fondant and some spare sugar flowers left over from other cakes I have been working on. It was great to make up my own design.

Wedding Cake Course
I have had a great time and learned so much, but most of all the course has given me the confidence to get out there and offer my services to Brides. Everything has been covered from basic recipes to piping royal icing and assembling cakes.
Here are a few photos of what I have learned so far

Christening Cake
Now it is time to fill you in. I had a huge cake order over Easter weekend. It was a beautiful elegant christening cake and 90 matching cupcakes. The cake was too big to transport assembled so I had to take it in pieces and assemble it at the venue. My nerves were shot! My husband took photos while I was working.
